Fruit veg and plant-based

    Fruit, veg and plant-based foods typically have a carbon footprint a fraction of that of animal products. Even when you factor in transport, when fruit or vegetables are imported from a distant country, their emissions are usually still much lower than a local meat product. (However, there may be other sustainability reasons to eat locally – for instance, to support local farmers who are using sustainable methods.)
