The casing of some of the biggest weapons in the British arsenal were tested, including the 12,000lb (5,400kg) Tallboy, or earthquake bomb, developed by famous British engineer Barnes Wallis, and the casing of Blue Danube, Britain's first nuclear bomb. Young women were employed as human computers to calculate the results.
