Hi there. I'm currently on Medicare, and I've noticed that some of my healthcare costs are not fully covered. I've heard about Medicare supplemental insurance coverage and wonder if it could help. I'm seeking more information on what exactly Medicare doesn't cover and what services or expenses supplemental insurance can help. Thank you in advance for any guidance you can provide!

Yes, Medicare supplemental insurance coverage can help you cover the costs not fully covered by the original insurance.

*Medigap helps pay Medicare Part A and Part B deductibles, which must be paid before the insurance coverage begins.

*Medigap also helps cover Medicare Part B coinsurance and copayments, which the original insurance does not cover fully.

*Medigap also covers skilled nurse facility care services not initially covered in the Medicare insurance plans.

*Medicare B excess charge( a 15% charge to be paid to a doctor who does not accept *Medicare assignment) is also covered with Medigap plans.

*Medicare does not cover healthcare expenses incurred while traveling outside the United States. A Medicare supplemental insurance policy can cover emergency medical care while traveling abroad.

*Medicare Part D covers prescription drugs, but some Medigap policies may also provide additional prescription drug coverage, which is not initially present in the plan.
